Preordainment
“No calamity befalls on Earth or in yourselves but it is inscribed in the Book of Decrees before We bring it into existence.” (57:22)
The pens have dried, the ink has run out, and the pages have been lifted. All events that shall come to pass have already been written.
Whatever has befallen you was never meant to escape you, and whatever has escaped you was never meant to befall upon you.
If this belief were to be firmly ingrained in our hearts, all hardships and difficulties would pass with ease and comfort.
Every object, system, and atom in existence was created for a specific purpose. God has not brought anything into existence without a reason for it, this knowledge surpasses ours, for God is All-Knowing, Most Wise.
The terms luck and coincidence do not apply to the believer, for the one who understands the ways in which God has decreed his life to pan out, has no fear or anxiety in the face of what his Lord has put before him.
The Prophet (S) said, “Whoever Allah wishes good for, He inflicts him (with hardship). (Bukhari)
Therefore, those of you who are afflicted with disaster or grief, know that glad tidings await you, so remain patient, happy, and pleased with your Lord, for He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
Do not linger on what you have lost or the pain you have been through. God does not burden a soul with more than it can bear, and because of this trial, you will become stronger and grow even more than before.
Whether the death of a close one, an unforeseen circumstance, or a broken heart, all things mend with time, and soon you will realize that God had only planned to grant you with something better in its place.
And all is as God wills it. A reminder to myself before anyone.
